Carrot pulp for colon cleansing is a very effective and economical solution if you feel like your colon is all clogged up and your waist is bulging, Carrot pulp, which is usually thrown away after juicing, is actually a very good source of fiber for a colon cleanse. Many people like to juice carrots with a juicer. Five carrots can turn out about 1 cup of carrot juice. But, then what happens to the pulp that is leftover?
Carrots contain a great source of fiber that will help to carry the fat out and contribute towards your weight loss. It’s even more concentrated after they have been juiced. You are basically left with mostly fiber in the pulp bin and nutritional juice for drinking into your cup.
Many people don’t like to waste the pulp and will add it to muffins or various bread recipes. I like to put some pulp in a ziploc sandwich baggie, get all the air out, zip it closed, and then store it in the freezer until I am ready to use it. I can store about one cup or more of carrot pulp in a baggie.
One time, I tried adding it to some soup that I had made. I might have added two cups worth to the soup.
My husband really enjoyed the soup. He was pleasantly surprised to have what he termed the “best clean out” ever for his colon.
He’s tried various colon cleanses before and could really tell a difference with the carrot pulp. He now thinks it’s the most effective colon cleanse there is.
If you have a yummy soup recipe like the ones on these links – minestrone or spare-the-chicken, chicken little, chick-pea, try adding 1-2 cups of carrot pulp to them. If you don’t want your house to steamy from cooking over the stove, try making it in a slow cooker. You will save electricity.
I have used a lemon garlic drink to fight infection. There was a time years ago when I had an abscess in my mouth. It came from a tooth that was giving me troubles. I prayed about what I could do to get rid of it. The answer came to make a lemon garlic drink. I went in the kitchen and started making one. Within 12 hours, the infection had gone down by half.
This is an effective drink for any infection, virus, bacteria or cancer cells. It doesn’t taste good or bad, but you might like it better with a spoon of honey added. The nice thing about this drink is that you are able to drink some liquefied garlic without having bad breath from it. The lemon oils in the rind help with deodorizing and freshening your breath while also being antiseptic.
Then, you can enjoy the benefits of garlic, which kills all germs. Garlic is the poor man’s antibiotic. The yellow part of the lemon rind is lately proven to be more effective than chemo in fighting cancer. It’s been recommended to put grated lemon rind/zest on whatever you eat at every meal. My original recipe for Infection-Fighting Lemon Garlic Drink was submitted to the Herbal Legacy website.
For this recipe, I am making a little revision by including the yellow part of the lemon peel too with its beneficial lemon oil. In that recipe I removed the yellow part of the lemon rind. The white part of the lemon rind has vitamin C complex and the juicy vitamin C rich center is beneficial for a drink. The stones are quite powerful too. So, I just use the whole lemon half. I know a senior lady who buys grapefruit seed extract liquid drops to help her get over bronchitis a lot quicker. Lemon stones are in the same citrus family so I figure they are beneficial too.
I have told other people about this and they have also found success. One lady found that it helped her with her bronchitis as well as some testimonials in the comments below. I give it to my kids if they are coming down with something and it appears to also be helpful against acne. Recently, there is research about the strong effects of the yellow part of the lemon rind to fight cancer. Apparently, the whole lemon can be frozen, then grated onto foods you eat as a great way to more effectively fight cancer than chemotherapy.
Whole Lemon Peel
The nice thing about including the whole lemon peel is that it helps you to not have bad breath from the garlic. The yellow part of the rind has essential oils that fight germs, is a natural deodorant and mouthwash refreshener. This drink would also be very powerful in not only strengthening the immune system, but in fighting a virus also. But, I only now use half a lemon, because of the strong taste of the lemon oils.
All parts of the lemon are amazingly helpful; the vitamin C rich inside, the vitamin C complex white part of the rind, the lemon oils in the rind, and even the bitter antioxidant rich seeds.
Garlic Bud
The garlic bud that is added is liquefied to become more effective. Garlic is known to kill all bacteria, fungus, parasites, and germs. The good thing is that your good bacteria or probiotics are unaffected by garlic. This is a natural way that is better for your system than to continually take antibiotics, which kill off your good bacteria and lead to more infection in the long run.
The taste is fine for this drink. If you want to get well sooner, you will probably make yourself like it. The lemon covers the garlic odor and taste. And the garlic helps to mellow the taste of lemon. You won’t have bad breath with this drink and can enjoy the benefits of the raw garlic. The lemon oil will counteract the odor on your breath, leaving a fresh taste and smell of lemons. When you want to get better, you will happily drink it.
Lemon Garlic Drink to Fight Infection by Janet Hailstone
1/2 lemon including seeds and rind, cut the half of the lemon into fourths
1 garlic bud, take off the paper by smashing the garlic with the flat blade of a chef’s knife, then paper is easily removed
1 cup water to blend
1 tbsp honey, optional (It’s not needed but it will taste better, I usually omit this but it does make the drink taste good)
Ice to fill 2 cup glass.
Insert all of the ingredients into a blender and blend well to liquefy for a minute or two. Blends to a very smooth drink. Pour into a 2 cup mug and fill the remaining amount with ice. Drink with a straw
If you are brave, you can use two garlic buds for more effectiveness. But, it will taste like garlic.
Are you too lame to exercise? I usually am. I’ve been thinking about exercising for a long time and hadn’t figured out how I would get myself to do a daily exercise routine. I can’t say I’m too busy, I just didn’t feel like it or know how if I would actually fit it into my schedule.
Then, I realized that I could break it all up into little parts to make it easy. I figured an easy way to remember to do them was by adding an exercise to a daily event.
I think I can get some good exercises in my day now. It will only take a minute here and there and can become a habit that’s easy to remember.
This will strengthen the muscles, joints, and tone up the body. Here are some simple ideas I came up with that are working out so far.
1.Every morning before getting out of bed, I do two leg lifts, I just lift my legs twice. That’s easy enough for starters.
This exercise tightens the abdominal muscles and strengthens the back.
2. After I brush my teeth, I do one quick squat and then stand up. It can be a challenge lifting your own weight if you are a wimp. I took an emergency training class with the city once. We had to lift a simulated trauma victim. One person lifted under the person’s arms, the other person lifted the person’s legs. I could hardly do it and realize I needed to get stronger by just doing regular squat lifts, so I can at least lift myself. Getting some practice lifting my own weight has more incentive for me if I just do one squat exercise twice a day at first.3. When I am walking down the hall at the end of the day, I can do it in lunges. This is good for toning up the leg and hip muscles.
Many other exercise can be implemented into a regular day like running from the car to a building, doing a few jumping jacks before washing the dishes, or some stretches before going to bed. You can increase the difficulty more with time.

Carrot pulp needs to be stored away airtight in a freezer container before harmful chemical reactions take place for the air oxidizing it.

Getting Rid of Acid Reflux in a Week is possible if you make some lifestyle changes. It’s possible to get off medications, and start a new life if you drastically change your diet. And, I mean drastically.
I taught a vegan cooking class and we were making a bunch of items including some fudgy cocoa mint cookies (click this link for the recipe). There was a guy in the class who was a chef and just fell in love with the cookies and came up for seconds afterwards.
Later when he took my healing diet class, he shared a testimonial of his experience in getting rid of acid reflux in a week after having had it for 5 years. He said that he saved himself $89 a month for the medications that he no longer needed to take.
This is how it feels to have acid reflux, also known as heartburn and gas coming up in the throat.
His doctor had told him there was no cure for acid reflux, but he got rid of it pretty fast. He used to have to sleep upright in a recliner and woke up with every little noise. After he switched his eating style, he was able to sleep flat and sound.
In our healing diet class, he said he was inspired by the cooking class and went and got a book Vegetarian for Dummies. He gave the idea a try and found out how it really worked.
No more digestive upset for Mitch. His life changed and he started a new contracting business with his friend now that he was enjoying better health. Other people I know have had similar results with the plant-based eating plan.
There are so many high-fiber, wholesome plant foods to choose from when getting rid of acid reflux
The healing diet is basically eliminating all animal products from your diet. This is the biggest step you can take for reversing disease conditions. It gives your immune system a chance to help you get well instead of having to deal with all of the foreign DNA, acid-mucus congestion, cholesterol, saturated fat, and pathogens.
Then, you just try to eat more wholesome plant foods of all kinds; grains, beans, vegetables, and fruits. See the other posts on this site for learning about how to incorporate these items. And, you can see a chart on this link about the new four food groups.
There have been many studies in the past comparing diets and which types of diets help people to have better strength, performance, and endurance. I was reading in the book Diet For a New America, by John Robbins and learned some about some amazing studies of how a plant-based diet helped people to perform better in various exercises. And, they also had a much quicker recovery time. So, I’m sharing some of what I’ve learned here.
There were some incredible tests that were done by a Danish team of researchers in 1968. They used the same group of men, but had them try three different types of diets in separate intervals. Then each time, they had them all exercise on a stationary bike to test for endurance or how long they could ride before becoming exhausted and stopping.
After eating a diet that was a combination of vegetables and meat, the average endurance on a bicycle was 114 minutes
Then, at another time period, they ate an all-animal-product diet including eggs, milk, and meat. They could only cycle for 57 minutes.
Finally, the men were given a diet of vegetables, grains, and fruit. Their endurance increased to the point of being able to cycle for 167 minutes.
Another study was done by a Professor Irving Fisher of Yale University. The results of this study were published in the Yale Medical Journal. He tested three different groups of men including vegetarian athletes, vegetarian sedentary individuals, and meat-eating athletes. The vegetarian athletes and vegetarian sedentary group performed better than the meat-eating athletes.
The amazing thing was that the vegetarian group included sedentary people while the meat-eating group were all athletes. This could have made the study have an unfair bias towards helping the meat-eating group, however, the vegetarian group had a higher average score that was more than double the score of the meat-eaters. Considering that half of the vegetarians were non-exercisers makes the study result more convincing
Then there was a similar type of study done by Dr. J. Ioteyko of the Academie de Medicine of Paris. He ran a wide variety of tests with vegetarians and meat-eaters to see which group had the greatest endurance. Here were his findings:
Vegetarians tended to have two to three times more stamina than meat-eaters on the average.
They were also able to have recovery from exhaustion in only one-fifth of the time compared to the meat-eaters.
There was also a study done by some Belgium doctors with grip meters. The meat eaters had an average ability to squeeze the grip meter 37 times, while the vegetarians were able to exceed this by being able to squeeze it 69 times. The vegetarians also had a much quicker recovery rate.
Here is more information about how a plant-based diet helped an ironman tri-athlete. This story was found at Herbal Legacy.
…Brendan Brazier who has been a professional ironman tri-athlete. He tried many different diets and ways of eating in an effort to decrease his recovery time and to maximize his training. He says that 80% of recovery has to do with diet and discovered that when he stayed on a plant based diet eating mostly raw vegan foods his performances improved and his recovery times decreased. His body was able to recover from the stress of his rigorous workouts quicker so that he was ready to put in more training time. “The result was astounding.” He explains. “Not only did my recovery time plummet but my energy level, strength-to-weight ratio, and endurance shot up…I attribute these exceptionally fast gains to the detailed attention I paid to my diet.”
I can say for myself that while I tend to be sedentary, when I follow a vegan diet, I definitely have more energy. I even feel like running to the mail box or from the car to the grocery store.
By following a plant-based diet, a person can have greater ability and endurance. Strength will increase, recover time will be much faster, and performance will be notably higher.
