One of the nice things about having a college age daughter is finding out about unique and fun songs. My daughter has good taste in wholesome, fun, and uplifting music. She found this one that she and I love, its called Knee Deep in the Bahamas and it makes me feel like dancing. Just click on this YouTube link, listen to it first, then play it again and see if you dont just feel like jumping up and doing a little dance before starting your day.
Here are some of the words to the song:
- Wishin I was knee deep in the water somewhere, got the blue sky breeze blowin wind through my hair, and the only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair
On certain days, when I hear this song playing, I cant resist getting up and dancing to it, because it is such a happy, upbeat song. Before I know it, my sedentary body is jumping up and dancing around the room for the next three minutes. It lifts my spirit and makes exercise fun.
That little bit of exercise goes a long way with this particular song. You dont have to know how to dance, just have fun moving your arms and legs to the music. Maybe you can even just do some basic exercises that you know. You can also turn on some music and move your arms and walk briskly, jog, or run on a treadmill if you have one. Heres a site where you can get one for a good deal.
Dancing has been found to be very good for your health too. So, for someone like me who hardly ever exercises, this particular song gets me very motivated to start moving my arms and legs, which is really good for the lymph system. The lymph system is a cleansing system for your body. You have little bean-shaped lymph nodes all over your body and an intricate lymph system, much like the nervous system, only this one is with a fluid that cleanses your body of bacteria, candida, and other little microscopic elements like cancer.
Here is a little video about how the lymph system works. As you can see, the lymph system plays a major part in cleaning up your blood and helping you to fight off infection and invaders. The important thing to know is that the lymph system doesnt work until you move. Exercising and being active actually helps you to be healthier, which is just common knowledge and common sense.
